Halloween Reminder

Just a reminder to discuss with your children that tomorrow’s afternoon dress-up must be school appropriate:

-no fake blood

-no fake weapons

-no extreme gore

-no face paint

For tonight’s middle years dance:

This is a separate event. Costume choice is left up to discretion of the parents.

Those students who also choose to dress up on Friday afternoon at school must follow the above rules.

HALLOWEEN!

Dear Parents,

This year at École Palliser Heights School we will be celebrating Halloween.  As a staff, we agreed that students should be allowed to dress up and celebrate Halloween in a positive way while at school.

We have several suggestions for parents to consider when planning for these festivities.  Please select a costume for your child that is easy to change into after lunch and does not support violence.  Pretend blood or play weapons will not be permitted.  Students are asked not to wear masks or come to school with face paint.

Our class will be having a Halloween party in the afternoon.  As it has gone over sooooo incredibly  well in our class, we will be doing another potluck lunch followed  by an afternoon of karaoke and board games!

With your help, we will enjoy a fun and safe holiday with your children.  Thanks for your support and involvement.

****If you choose not to send a costume, your child is more than welcome to dress in orange, black or purple.

"In a million words or less..."

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the homework assignments that I have received from you all. It has been such a privilege getting to know your child in the classroom. It adds so much to getting to know a child when you get to see who the child is through their parents eyes. I am going to be honest, your words brought me to tears many times, don't worry, happy tears.
I am really looking forward to this year.

P.S. I know you are all very busy, but those of you who haven't completed the "assignment", I would REALLY love to hear from you as well...

Have a wonderful Thursday evening.

Mme Rogers
